Arrive in Jackson, Wyoming

Welcome to the West. Your guide will pick you up at 7:00 am to depart on your adventure. Enjoy a drive through the beautiful countryside to Jackson. Get settled as your second guide checks you into the hotel. Explore the scenic town, known as the "Gateway to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks." Browse at designer boutiques and shops containing fine Western art and homemade items. Meet the other families who will share your adventure. Enjoy a hardy meal from the chow line. As is the tradition of all wagon trains, the Bar T 5 Band will play. They will entertain you with great western music just like it was shared at night around the campfire in the old west.

Day 2: Jackson Hole

Grand Tetons Staying in Jackson

Drive to Jackson, where you will explore Grand Tetons National Park. This national park was first set up as a National Monument by the Rockefellers and other philanthropists. It was initially home to trappers, traders, and Mormon homesteaders. Today, it is one of the most breathtaking and well-known parks in the US. Take a short walk along the waterway for fantastic photos of the Tetons and the chance to see wildlife. Then, we are off to Jenny Lake for a boat ride and a hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. Once finished, you will return across the lake and head to Signal Mountain to enjoy stunning views of the Grand Tetons and Spalding Bay. Next, you can enjoy historical Jackson, WY. We will check-in at Bar T-5 Covered Wagon Cookout, given a short introduction, then loaded into horse-drawn covered wagons. Each wagon will have a wrangler to guide you up Cache Creek Canyon. Along the way, you will encounter a friendly mountain man, Buckskin, who will help you watch out for any trouble along the trail. Enjoy dinner at a rowdy, old-fashioned theater. This Western-themed meal is capped off with entertainment celebrating this historic landmark.

DAY 3: Yellowstone National Park Lower Loop (1st Half Of Lower Loop)

Travel from Grand Tetons National Park to Yellowstone National Park. Visit famous landmarks such as Old Faithful Geyser, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone Lake, Hayden Valley (with wildlife stops available), the Upper and Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon, and the Fountain Paint Pot Nature Trail. These sites are famously known as the Circle of Fire, Yellowstone's classic tour! Along with visiting the Old Faithful Geyser Basin, you will visit Black Sand Basin, Midway Geyser Basin, and others. Take an excursion on the Lower Loop of Yellowstone National Park and see what has captivated artists and adventurers alike. Discover the park's most remarkable thermal features and iconic sites including Old Faithful. Embark on the Grand Canyon Hike around a 4,000-foot-wide (1219.2 meters) canyon and marvel at its majesty. Take a privately guided tour of Yellowstone National Park's thermal phenomena on Fountain Paint Pot Trail. Be awestruck by the beauty of blue pools, pink mud pots, mini-geysers, and steam vents. These points may vary somewhat between Day 3 and Day 4 due to weather, traffic, or other things that may come up.

Day 4: Yellowstone National Park Lower Loop (2nd Half Of Lower Loop)

Explore Yellowstone Lower Loops' many waterfalls, geyser basins, and other unique geological features. Some of the first stops will include viewpoints along West Thumb Geyser Basin and Yellowstone Lake. Afterward, you will visit Old Faithful for lunch at the Historic Old Faithful Lodge. Next, we will take a short drive to the volcanic caldera rim to Fire-Hole Falls and Madison Junction. This day is subject to change based on availability and time of year.

DAY 5: Upper Loop Yellowstone National Park (1st Half Of Upper Loop)

Visit Upper Loop Yellowstone to see fantastic geological formations, and then travel along the western side of the park to Gibson Falls and Norris Geyser Basin. Then, we will journey to Virginia Cascades, canyon junction, and finally to Yellowstone Falls, with a few hikes/walks to various viewpoints along and below the rim of the Grand Canyon. Afterward, drive to a unique area known in Yellowstone at Mammoth Hot Springs. We will travel to Canyon Junction to enjoy lunch in the village. Next, we will go to Tower Falls and Lamar Valley, home to unique geological formations that are remnants of previous volcanic eruptions. (Wraith Falls and the Petrified Logs are also options for us to visit.) Our final stop will be a photo opportunity of the group at Roosevelt Arch, the official northern entrance to the park Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Ride through Hayden Valley by motorcoach. Keep your eyes open—there's a chance you'll see some animals grazing on the vast grassy plains that surround you.

We will have lunch or dinner by stagecoach or horseback. (Seasonal options available for purchase.)

Day 6: Upper Loop Yellowstone National Park (2nd Half Of Upper Loop)

For the first part of the morning, you will be on the river. With the possibility of sighting wolves, bears, elk, deer, coyote, and bison. Afterward, a drive to a unique area known in Yellowstone as Mammoth Hot Springs. Then we will travel to canyon junction to enjoy lunch in the village before going on toward Tower Falls and Lamar Valley. These areas are also great spots for viewing wildlife within the park. Hayden Valley Ride through Hayden Valley by motorcoach and know you're in a wildlife paradise! 

Drive to Rexburg Idaho staying one night in Rexburg Idaho

Day 7: Make up any day delayed for traffic. Due to traffic in summer, this day helps ensure that you will see as much of the park as possible. 

Day 8: Rexburg Idaho

Yellowstone Bear World, drive-thru Wildlife Park. During your visit, you will see free-roaming wildlife of North America. Wildlife sightings include Rocky Mountain Elk, Bison, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Rocky Mountain Goats, Moose, and of course American Black Bear, and Grizzly Bear. (Please note those going back to Salt Lake City, please schedule a next day evening Flight. The tour back to Salt Lake City usually gets you back to the city around 5 pm.)
